March 31, 2017 - Friday - We have a bag of Cuties in the kitchen. I have some seriously artistic peeling skills. Actually this was pretty much just a happy accident.
March 30, 2017 - Thursday - Went to meet a friend for dinner after work. Now I'm not a fan of seafood at all but these crab claws were pretty good. It's beginning to be patio weather on a consistent basis. I know it won't last long but it's so nice for a while. We always have the best conversations.
March 29, 2017 - Wednesday - Went to meet a friend after work to talk about some work and to have a drink or two. Got home as the sun going down. The glow on the clouds looked a bit creepy.
March 28, 2017 - Tuesday - Riley and her BF came into town today to have dinner with me after work. As many times as I've eaten from Bobo China, I don't think I've actually eaten in the restaurant more than a few times. Dinner was delicious and this was my fortune. I must say it's about time, I'm tired of always having to be the blessing. Hahaha
March 27, 2017 - Monday - Today wasn't a good day. One of the interesting things about my arthritis right now is when I have a big flare up in one place it sometimes leaves most of the rest of my body alone. Aside from some minor issues with my neck, back and foot, my right hand is like a brown version of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
March 26, 2017 - Sunday - I was doing much better today. My friend and I planned to see a movie with her daughter who was a bit jealous we went to Marble Slab without her the other day. We went to a theater in the same area so we decided to go back. The sky was overcast, so this is a much less interesting photo than Friday's.
March 25, 2017 - Saturday - I bought this last night. I want to watch it and Star Wars back to back. Being a bit laid up today made that a pretty easy choice.
March 24, 2017 - Friday - Remember the old Robin William's movie, The Fisher King? At the end of his date his psychosis starts to come back and the fire breathing Red Knight comes after him. Kinda felt like that today. Took a half day off and spent it with a friend toward the end of the evening I could feel a flare up coming. By the time I got home it was a full Red Knight attack.
March 23, 2017 - Thursday - Yesterday we had a bit of a celebration. Mostly just celebrating the fact there was a bottle of champaign in the fridge at work. We had mimosas with some fruit and pastries. Today I was helping clear out the leftovers.
March 22, 2017 - Wednesday - I had a couple of other photos ready for today, and I'm sorry I took this with my phone, but at the end of the day we saw this little guy outside our window at the office. I've seen lots of birds and squirrels, but never a rabbit. I'm a little worried for the poor thing. We're between a busy street and the service road to 75. Good luck, Little Bunny.
March 21, 2017 - Tuesday - In spite of all the cooking I did yesterday, I still went out to meet a friend for dinner at one of our favorite Greek places. These green beans are probably my favorite thing on the menu. They're like magic.
March 20, 2017 - Monday - This is my forth day in a row feeling good. I decided it was time to be productive so I went grocery shopping at lunch. When I got home this evening I made this spaghetti with meat sauce and the Greek Chicken pasta that I've made a millions times. Won't have to cook the rest of the week. I also did a bunch of laundry.
March 19, 2017 - Sunday - These are my Godparents. My Godmother had this in her room with her everywhere she went along with lots of other family photos. I remember she told me she looks at it all the time and wished she could ask him what he said to her to make her laugh so hard. She passed today. I hope they're reminiscing about all the fun they had together.
March 18, 2017 - Saturday - I woke up yesterday feeling normal for the first time in months. Today was the second day feeling like myself. Rather than clean and do laundry like I should I went out to visit a friend who's not feeling well. Took this on the way home.
March 17, 2017 - Friday - In the group of friends that I usually meet for dinner there's my friend who named her baby after me. She invited us all over to her place for pizza night with her family. It was a good time as always, we just had to watch our use of four letter words around the little people. Some of us are better at that than others.
March 16, 2017 - Thursday - Took the day off to spend with a friend. She introduced me to a new place in Bishop Arts for lunch. This spicy shrimp and grits dish was surprisingly good for bar food. I know that looks like hot wings sauce but it's not. It went really well with a beer or two.
March 15, 2017 - Wednesday - Went to spend the evening at a friend's. She finds some of the coolest old stuff. She had this on a shelf. When my oldest niece was a little baby she had one of these because we called her Monchichi. Her hair looked just like this.
March 14, 2017 - Tuesday - Happy Pi Day!!! Today I went to get my car washed and pick up a pie on the way back into the office. I got this apple pie at Whole Foods. It was pretty good but it seemed as if they didn't want to put any cinnamon in this.
March 13, 2017 - Monday - Today one of the girls ran out of gas down the street. I'm the only guy in the office for a few days so she called me. Fortunately my arthritis wasn't too bad today and she has a little car. I only had to push it a short distance mostly downhill to a parking lot. Then we went to get gas. Her new can matches her car.
March 12, 2017 - Sunday - Another day on the couch. Last weekend it was three days of what I watched on TV. This weekend it's two days of Pancake keeping me company on the couch. At least she's cute.
March 11, 2017 - Saturday - Another weekend starting on the couch. Kinda laid up again. I don't remember how much I paid for my heating pad but it's worth 10 times whatever it cost. The little knuckleheads spent the day with me on the couch napping and watching TV.
March 10, 2017 - Friday - When it came time to say goodbye, I leaned over her bed, she put her hand on my cheek, looked me in the eye and said, "You were always a good kid." She tried to reach up to kiss me. I got close and she kissed my other cheek and I kissed her's. I could feel her curly hair catching in my hair. She held me for a bit and said she loved me. I said the same.
March 9, 2017 - Thursday - Last night was a night like I've not experienced in 20 years. And not in a good way. Hahahaha. I didn't get much sleep but I did get to see my doctor today and vent in person. Didn't even think about a photograph today.
March 8, 2017 - Wednesday - I went to meet a friend for dinner after work. Had a good dinner with a good long conversation. It was a beautiful day that started out so well. Unfortunately, my arthritis began making another comeback toward the end of the night.
March 7, 2017 - Tuesday - Riley came to have dinner with me after work. She got to the office a little early and brought her boyfriend's puppy. This is Mia, she's a beagle/basset hound mix that looks like a dachshund. She's pretty cute and smart for a puppy.
March 6, 2017 - Monday - Woke up feeling almost normal. Well normal for me. I met a friend for dinner and sangrias. I really felt like celebrating being able to walk upright almost pain-free for the first time in quite a few days. Feels good to be able to walk the dogs and get stuff done around the house. I like staying home sometimes but not because I have to.
March 5, 2017 - Sunday - Today was another day a lot like yesterday. I'm feeling quite a bit better and actually did a little laundry and stuff around the house. Like yesterday, I spent a lot of time on the heating pad. I watched another game and napped a bit. At the end of the day I came across the X-Files. I had a little bit of a crush on Scully back in the day.
March 4, 2017 - Saturday - Still kinda laid up from this flare up. Spent pretty much the whole day on the heating pad on the couch. I watched some more Cowboy's games and napped a bit since I haven't been sleeping all that well. At the end of the day I realized I hadn't take a photo. Flipping through the channels this was on.
March 3, 2017 - Friday - Stopped by the pharmacy on the way home to pick up a new prescription to help me get through this flare up. Got home and there was nothing to watch on TV. I've been missing football so I watched the Cowboys beat Green Bay. So glad I recorded all the games last year except the Chicago game. I missed that one.
March 2, 2017 - Thursday - I was planning on not having any fast food for the month of March. Unfortunately I'm having a pretty bad flare up again and I'm not doing well on my feet. Cooking or going into a restaurant is really not an option.
March 1, 2017 - Wednesday - It's been forever since I've had a peanut butter and syrup sandwich. My dad used to make us these when we were little. You have to get the mix just right or it's not creamy and the texture is all wrong. Mmmmm. With a big glass of milk, it's just perfect.
