I was craving guac yesterday, but none of the avocados at the store were ripe. But they were ripe tonight. Mmmmmm.

Went out to run some errands and stopped at La Michuacana market near my house for a small cup of heart attack. Delicious, creamy, spicy cup of heart attack.

The weather was crazy today. This was the sky from the roof of our parking garage. I only got a little marble sized hail at my house.

Went to lunch with a friend. This has to be either one very large PB&J or something realllllllly special. Their burgers were great and much more reasonably priced.

This is a mimosa tree blooming in my alley. We had one of these in our front yard growing up. I always thought these things looked crazy.

Crazy storms today. But the clouds broke just before sunset and the sky was all yellowy orange. Made my bricks almost glow.

Stayed home today feeling like crap. This a bad photo but it's my company on the couch next to me. Someone please take this cat!?!?!

My Ming Arelia that my mom gave me has a new shoot growing in its pot. Look at me growing stuff and stuff. Amazing what regular watering will do.

This is on the corner around the block from my house. I've seen it a few times while I'm riding my bike. Stopped to get a pic in the evening sun.

My blackberry bush is budding. I have about 10 berries on this. Not too shabby for the second year. I didn't kill it.

Freshly painted parking garage. The yellow was so bright in the noon sun. Got out of work early today. Not bad for a Friday the 13th.

This is some of the construction going on downtown on the First Baptist Church. Amazing how quickly some of this is going.

Went to the SPCA to drop off some newspapers and pet the dogs. They were closed. It wasn't a total loss. Went to Fuel City Tacos for lunch.

Went to see a friend today and guess what? She had a few cascarones left over from Easter. Gotcha.

Saw this on the way to work today. I knew a girl that drove a dark blue bug that I would call honey but she'd probably smack me. She's not that sweet.

Went to spend the afternoon at mom's for Mother's Day. Barkley and I relaxed outside by the grill with a beer.

Went to my sister's for a party and to watch the Pacquiao/Mosley fight. I think this is how Mosley saw the whole thing.

I have a friend at work that would go completely ape shit if I showed up with this. This is $7 worth of goldfish. It was huge.

Cinco de Mayo celebracíon started today at 3p. Not a bad way to end the day.

The two best scenes in the movie Spanglish were the girl standing in the wind on the beach and The Sandwich. I would trade this for the girl on the beach.

So when I bought the empty plastic eggs for Easter I dumped out the bag of eggs on the table to fill them with candy. This fell out of the bag.
May 2 - Monday
I made a salad like the one in the cafe in our building downtown. Strawberries, grapes, feta, purple onion, grape tomatoes, cucumber with spring mix and baby spinach. I wish I knew what kind of dressing they use. This will do while I try to figure it out.

Riley, Rane and I went to Buca di Beppo for dinner. You have to try the green beans if you go. Feeding them was like feeding teenage boys today.
