Someone in the office building where I work had a good day. If you're near enough to one of these do yourself a favor and order some. They are delivered warm and fresh out of the oven.

Drove out to Ikea to get some stuff for our office. Had lunch at La Madeleine. I sat near a window in the bright sunshine. It was a beautiful day to not be in the office.

I'm just a squirrel trying to find a nut. Now if that nut happens to be covered in dark chocolate, that's just a big bonus.
November 26, 2012 - Monday
I stopped by the grocery store on the way home this evening. An older man tied this little guy to a post outside while he went in to shop. Poor guy has a worried look, he was kinds skitish when I walked up to him. I hope the guy got him a treat.

I spent a bunch of this holiday weekend building a "smart phone specific" version of this site. A bunch of the site is now formatted for smart phones, but not all of the content is converted. You might already be seeing this on your phone. Weird, huh?

Riley and I went out to run some errands. This is our Fall such as it is. It's not quite Vermont but it will do. Especially considering we don't get crazy snow here.

I was watching TV and heard really loud rustling out in the front yard. Mine and my neighbors' yards were full of birds. It was kind of creepy, but I guess it's gonna freeze tonight. I opened the front door and took this just as they all flew away.

I don't know if the dogs like the country too much. I put them in the "dog run" my parents have. It's an old chicken coop. We were over at my brother's next door and came back and they had gotten out of the coop and found their way into my parents' house. They were so excited to be home.

This is bit of a graining, blurry photo because of the light wisps of clouds passing in front of the moon. It was a beautiful day to not have to go to work and just get everything ready to go out to mom and dad's for Thanksgiving. Taking the dogs with us to spend the night out in the country.

One of the guys was out at lunch talking to caterers for our Christmas party. He brought back these. They are huge and delicious.

I went to pick up Riley after work and then to run some errands. At a busy corner near my house that's a busy corner for birds too.

Zeke has decided that Sundays are couch days for him. He kept my feet warm while I watched the Cowboy game.

I was outside Whole Foods and this old Basset hound walks up to me and says,"Stop me if you've heard this one. A poodle, a pomeranian and a pug walk into a bar... and just started laughing hystarically. He never finished the joke so I just took his picture.

Left work a little early to go meet a friend for drinks and dinner. Stuck in traffic on 75, I could see something in the direction of my house burning. Also there was a guy behind me that looked like Demone from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Our office and a few other friends went out for a birthday lunch. One of the guys brought a bunch of Nothing Bundt Cakes. Deliciousness. Bite sized deliciousness.

We moved our Greek Food Wednesdays to include any Mediterranean food. Ali Baba on 75 was very empty, but the food was really delicious. We couldn't understand it.

Today there was a total solar eclipse in Austrailia. I found a live feed online. I took a few pics of my screen while it happened. I would have loved to have been there. It was pretty cool how it got really dark for just a while.

Working my way from North Dallas to Arlington at rush hour is STUPID. I guess I'm spoiled now, because I hate traffic. This is only my second time across this bridge. It looked pretty cool in the sunset. The cables always make me think of the Spirograph toy.

Spent a bunch of the day cooking and cleaning. Of course I had to watch the Cowboy's game, The Amazing Race and The Walking Dead. Zeke came and kept me company for the Walking Dead. I think he was scared but didn't want to say anything.

I went to Petco this afternoon for some stuff for the dogs. They were having an adoption drive. It was really hard to not take this guy home. Riley would have gone crazy nuts. His name was Major Domo. If you're looking for a dog please adopt. There are so many great animals that need homes.

I made these a while back and kept them in the fridge to see if they would keep and still taste good. Guess what? THEY DO!!!! See the little dark opening. That is a little peek into the creamy dark chocolate waiting inside. Mmmmmmm.

I forgot Riley was going to a play at school this evening and I had the evening free. Fortunately a friend was available to meet me for dinner. I took this while I was momentarily stuck in traffic off 635. Knowing I was going to Ziziki's made it okay.

I went to pick up Riley from Rane's after work. She drives now and she gave Riley a ride back to her house. There are quite a few peacocks in their neighborhood. One of them seems to have lost all its color.

I was in Ikea the other day and as I was going to the registers there was a bin full of these. I knew I would be having lunch with a friend and her baby. I thought the baby would like it.

We each are going to have lockers at work. Bright red no less. I used to tell Riley you're not a grown up if you still keep your stuff in a locker. Well.... I guess I'm not a grown up anymore. If I ever was one.
November 4, 2012 - Sunday
How I planned on spending my Sunday. I was momentarilly interupted when my DVR died. All I could think of was no Cowboy game, no Amazing Race and no Walking Dead. Fortunately the DVR's death was only temporary. An hour later I was back on track, napping with not a worry in the world.

I was downtown tonight. I think the Mavs won, but I don't know for sure. Reunion Tower had their MAVS showing.
November 2, 2012 - Friday
A big bowl of pasta with mascarpone and tomatoes. A big tv with The Godfather II. A regular sized glass of wine. (May have been filled more than once.) All the makings of a great night in. Now, "You'll have to excuse me. I'm tired, and I'm a little drunk!"

I was out running errands at lunch and went down the street again to pick up some tacos. Aside from them tasting so good, the other thing I like about them is that your hands smell like lime the rest of the day. Yes, I wash my hands but they still smell good.
