June 30, 2013 - Sunday
After making the mistake of buying groceries at Sam's I made a couple of huge salads with strawberries yesterday. The rest of them I sprinkled with a little bit of sugar and put them in the fridge. Some of these in a bowl of Frosted Flakes is delicious.

I spent most of the day cooking. I did manage to get in a small nap too. I started with a marinade for these fajitas. I made a really big salad and some guacamole a little later. For dinner I grilled fajitas for the first time. They turned out really good.

This day at the office started with a breakfast taco. I decide while I was out running errands at lunch to pick up some more tacos. I love these with lots of lime and green salsa. Mmmmmm

We've started planning another road trip. This time to look at schools in Savannah and NYC. In addition to looking at schools we're looking for great places to eat along the way. We might get a chance to stop by the Jack Daniel's Distillery on the way home.

One of the guys brought a huge box of brownies and a half gallon of ice cream back to the office. Not a bad afternoon snack.

I had a friend I worked with that I think about from time to time and especially around my b-day. One year she ran up to me and jumped into my arms with a big "Happy Birthday, Bo!" She was a day early but it didn't matter. Coincidentally I wore this today and it reminded me that I had a dream of her the other day.

I guess I missed the "Super Moon" or something like that yesterday. I read something about it earlier in the day. I stopped on my way home to take this, less than Super Moon or Super Moon minus one day.

Went to spend some time with my friends and their new baby. Not this guy, they had a baby girl last week. This guy is pretty cool and very photogenic.

Yes, its that time of year again. I made the Greek Chicken Pasta Salad again. It's so colorful and delicious.

I picked up my glass of water and started to take a drink, then I saw this and had to take a picture. In other news, James Gandolfini, best known as Tony Soprano, passed away yesterday from a heart attack. He was only 51.

While I was out visiting my family Sunday, my brother gave me this. He went out to Florida and New Orleans on vacation. He sent me a picture of the guy rolling these cigars while he was there. I thought he was being mean at the time.

Happy Father's Day. Riley and I went to brunch together and then went out to visit my parents out in the country. I was walking by Valentine to say hello. I'm sure my mom would have some sarcastic comment about my dad knowing this is my picture of the day on Father's Day. hahaha

Went to a funeral for a friend's dad this morning then went to see a friend's who's baby was born this morning. There's probably some big connection there but all I can think of is the I'm glad I get to spend so much time with Riley. We talk a lot. Especially at dinner, no matter where its at.

Had a belated b-day lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. Another friend took me to dinner for my b-day at my favorite place, Ziziki's. She brought a chocolate pie for us too. We pretty much demolished it in just a few moments.

My niece is having a baby girl. She made the announcement at a party with lots of Italian food (cuz that's what's she's been craving), chocolate cupcakes and Hershey bars. That's a good party regardless of what your celebrating. Did I mention I've lost 5 lbs? That's because I haven't.

My parents finally came to visit on a day that Tony's wasn't closed. Have I mention how delicious June has been so far. At this rate, however, I will be rolling into July.

I used to say I didn't like Artichokes because I tried them and they were gross. Then I tried these at Ziziki's. Mmmmmmm. Forth time in two weeks. June has been very good so far. The company was great too.

Our office building had an Ice Cream Social today. You probably can't tell from this photo the amount of self control and restraint I have. If I didn't show some will power this would have been full of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, rather than just the small little drizzle and sprinkle of Oreo crumbles.

Drove out to the country to see the family and pick up some things. A dozen fresh eggs from their chickens was not on the list but I got those too. This is not the best picture but the big open spaces out there are kinda nice.

Ok, I'm at the pump leaning against my car watching the dollar numbers fly by as the gallon numbers slowly move. Then I look down at the screen below and see this. My butt is on the back, driver's side quarter panel of my own car. Really???

My dogs got me up really early this morning. I know that's relevant, but it was early for me. Early enough that I had never seen the sun shine in the window on the wall like this before. I'm going to start giving my dogs Nyquil before bed.

My daughter and I went to Ziziki's for their Sunday Brunch. The food is abundant and delicious and the mimosas were plentiful. The only thing better was the company and the conversation. My baby girl is not a baby anymore, but she's still my little girl.

It's my birthday month so while I was at the grocery store this afternoon I picked up a few steaks for us. I think I will try to celebrate in some small way each weekend, if not each day. These, by the way, turned out just perfect.
