June 30, 2016 - Thursday - I went to see mom after work. She's making lots of progress. She even feels bad that people have been visiting and worrying about her. Walking out to my car I found two dollars. I stopped by a 7/11 and bought two lotto tickets. Got my fingers crossed.
June 29, 2016 - Wednesday - Last month I decide to was going to not drink for the month of June. (Except for my b-day) But that all kinda really went out the window. I decided I will just drink less and less often. Working with the guys I work with makes it a bit of a challenge too. We take turns being bartender here at the office.
June 28, 2016 - Tuesday - I had a few photos to choose from today. It rained really hard while it was still really sunny and hot at lunch. I met a friend for dinner and then went to see Finding Dory. Great movie and the short before the movie was good too.
June 27, 2016 - Monday - I was planning to go see mom today, but she had a late dialysis treatment so I went to visit a friend instead. The weather was a bit crazy today with made for dramatic skies. I wonder what it was like for the people in the plane.
June 26, 2016 - Sunday - I meant to spend my weekend doing absolutely nothing but sometime in the middle of the day I realized I needed to go to the office to get some work done. Weekend work is always better with a drink or two. Fortunately, I wasn't there too long.
June 25, 2016 - Saturday - My baby girl came to spend some time with her dear old dad. She came into town last night. Now she's napping on the couch next to me while I update this site and my FB page. Biscuit is asleep beside her and Pancake is next to me watching Ice Age again. It's nice to be relaxing at home for what seems like the first time in forever.
June 24, 2016 - Friday - A while back a friend who is very good at shopping came across this little table top gas grill. I picked up a couple of little steaks to test it out. Hoping it will be good for more than burgers and hot dogs. With a little more practice this will work just fine for steaks. It will be great for camping and grilling on my little patio.
June 23, 2016 - Thursday - This is the card Riley got me for Father's Day. When she was little she watched this movie all the time. She had little red glitter shoes she wore until all the glitter wore off and to her all dogs were "Totos." The inside of the card read, "Fortunately, the ruby slippers are optional."
June 22, 2016 - Wednesday - I have a friend who's birthday is a few days before mine. We finally got together for dinner and a little frozen yogurt. It's always good to get caught up.
June 21, 2016 - Tuesday - Riley was in Austin this weekend for a wedding so we didn't get to spend Father's Day together. She drove into town and brought me a slice of Linda's Fudge Cake. Someone taught her it's okay to have dessert first sometimes. Good fathers do that. We went to Tony's for the best Tortellini ever. I even have some left for tomorrow.
June 20, 2016 - Monday - I woke up Tuesday morning thinking I hadn't taken a photo today. I forgot about this one. This is my boss' car that he bought himself the day before my birthday a couple of years ago. He asked what he could do to make the office a better place to work. I told him company cars. I ended up having to buy my own. Not as sporty but just a pretty.
June 19, 2016 - Sunday - It's still my birthday month. Don't judge me!!!
June 18, 2016 - Saturday - My friend I was supposed to have dinner with had her baby yesterday. After getting back from Houston earlier today I went to visit them. They named him Bowman, Bo for short. THEY NAMED THEIR BABY AFTER ME!!!! How cool is that?!?!?! I think they wanted to go with Santiago, but both of them are blond haired and blue eyed.
June 17, 2016 - Friday - Drove to Houston for a wedding. Getting there was an utter beatdown, but worth it to see my friend walk down the aisle and get married. I think every woman looks beautiful on her wedding day, but she looked like the picture in the frame when you buy a picture frame. It was such a good time.
June 16, 2016 - Thursday - Wow, miss number 3 just like that. I was feeling pretty crappy the last couple of days and it was at it's worst today. I was doing shots of Dayquil today and trying to pack for tomorrow. Somehow neither the packing or the photo taking got done.
June 15, 2016 - Wednesday - We were making drinks at the office at the end of the day. My friend handed me this Coke... well, for obvious reasons.
June 14, 2016 - Tuesday - I was supposed to have dinner with a couple of friends, one of whom is very pregnant. She canceled which worked out since I ended up working late on a video project. I was messing around with an app Riley showed me and didn't take a picture all day. Second miss of the year.
June 13, 2016 - Monday - A friend of mine got a new puppy last week. She named her Gracie too. When she goes outside she has to keep an eye out for hawks. She's afraid one will swoop down and make a snack of this little thing.
June 12, 2016 - Sunday - Finishing up my birthday weekend with one last celebratory meal. Riley and I went to Ziziki's for brunch. She told me she understands why they call the tzatziki sauce Ziziki's sauce. Because you can dip anything they make in it and it tastes better. Her point is true too. The spanakopita was especially peppery good.
June 11, 2016 - Saturday - I spent the morning helping a friend move. Riley's SUV came in handy. It was a lot of work but we got a lot accomplished. So happy for my friend and her new place. We then met a couple of other friends for dinner. This was one of their gifts. It was such a good time with great food, good wine and whiskey, great friends and my baby girl too.
June 10, 2016 - Friday - Riley came into town to spend the weekend with me for my birthday. We have a big day planned for tomorrow so we just went out and had a burger for dinner. I had a lamb burger with feta. It was delicious.
June 9, 2016 - Thursday - Yes I made it again. I still have some pesto that my friend made.
June 8, 2016 - Wednesday - Riley drove to the office and then we drove to see mom in Arlington. It's such a relief to see her making progress each time we visit. It's slow progress but each time she looks so much better. Riley and I found a deep dish pizza place that was pretty good. This was brisket and the sauce had a bit of bbq sauce in it.
June 7, 2016 - Tuesday - One of the girls here is a big fan of the Sonic Happy Hour. She had to run an errand this afternoon and brought back drinks for everyone. I had a cherry slush.
June 6, 2016 - Monday - A long while back a friend gave me a box of these. Her dog didn't like them. These are the perfect sized snacks for Pancake and Biscuit. They're the size of kibble to Grace. She looks at me funny when I give her one at a time.
June 5, 2016 - Sunday - The birthday celebrations have begun. I had some Linda's Fudge Cake yesterday and today a friend and I fired up the grill. We did lots of veggies, baked potatoes, salmon for her and a deliciously grilled steak for me.
June 4, 2016 - Saturday - I saw this while I was out this morning. I guess it rained last night. I like how all the little drops are in the nooks of the petals.
June 3, 2016 - Friday - We got out of the office a little early today. I left my place a little early to get a head start on going to see my mom. It took 35 minutes to get on the highway because the cops had the entrance to the highway closed. It took an hour and a half to get to Arlington. I hate traffic.
June 2, 2016 - Thursday - I met a friend for dinner and this was on the wall next to me. I have a bunch of pictures of Riley on my shoulders, at the zoo, the State Fair, even the Riverwalk in San Antonio. I miss those days
June 1, 2016 - Wednesday - I was up a little late the other night and I saw this was coming on in the middle of the night so I recorded it. I watched half of it tonight. Remember when the Cowboys had a great season. It was a really long time ago. The only good thing when the Cowboys lose is that Jerry Jones is a big loser too.
