November 30, 2013 - Saturday
After a great breakfast I took Grace out to Garden of the Gods. We hiked all over the place and met lots of people and lots of dogs. We also took a break in the middle of it all to sit up high on the trail and smoke a cigar. Okay I did, she just slept for a little while.
November 29, 2013 - Friday
We stopped in Amarillo last night. We drove into Colorado Springs this afternoon. It was a bit of a long drive. We made quite a few stops to get out and let Grace stretch her legs. She did so well just relaxing in the back on her bed.
November 28, 2013 - Thursday
After Thanksgiving dinner I left for a quick vacation with Grace in Colorado Springs. You should have seen the stars out in the clear, moonless sky. I stopped somewhere around Childress off the highway to get a picture. It's a little blurry seeing how I was shooting this off the roof of the car.
November 27, 2013 - Wednesday
I went over to my parent's house to help my mom get stuff ready for tomorrow. My sister from NYC was baking. I think this was an apple pie. She made it with lots of love as you can see on top.

On my way back into the office from lunch I saw this really good looking guy. I stopped him and asked if I could take his photo. He seemed like such a cool guy and very agreeable. I bet he comes from a great family and has a really cool dog.
November 25, 2013 - Monday
Last night I was really wishing I had some hot chocolate at home. I don't. First thing this morning at work I walked over to our Keurig and made myself a cup. I hate having cold hands. Looks like a big yellow eyeball.
November 24, 2013 - Sunday
I was home most of the day Sunday, watching the Cowboys and doing laundry. It was over the weekend that I realized Grace has a habit of taking a nap for a while and then waking up and walking over to me to be petted. She's not shy either. She let me know while I was in the middle of my own nap.
November 23, 2013 - Saturday
It's official, I'm keeping her. Remember in Lady and the Tramp when they give Lady her collar and she goes out to show it off to the others. And in 101 Dalmations when they give out the collars and give the names to all the litter. That might have been the live version of that movie. I don't remember now.
November 22, 2013 - Friday
I went to meet a friend for dinner and look at what she found in her alley, an Ewok. Fortunately he had a tag and a home. She secretly hoped the owners wouldn't call back for a least a day. About 30 minutes later a girl just as cute from down the street came to get him.

I keep The Furminator on the coffee table so I can brush Grace every few days. She seems to really like being brushed except on her back. After seeing this pic I guess I need to find a way to clean it. Eeewww.
November 20, 2013 - Wednesday
I went to the grocery store after work. I've been thinking about getting Grace another bed for another room. They had some beds just like the one she already has and it was half the price. She seems to like it just fine.
November 19, 2013 - Tuesday
Went home and watched Dear Mr. Watterson. No interviews with him but just a bunch people talking about how great Calvin and Hobbes is. I got out some of my old books and spent the rest of the evening laughing out loud to myself. It's still funny even though I know all the punchlines.
November 18, 2013 - Monday
There was a noted productivity spike around 2:45p today in the office. Followed by a severe decline around 3:30p. My boss turned 50 today but sometimes has the sense of humor of an 8 year old, hence the 8 candles. Got lucky again getting hired to work with this group of guys.

After a great brunch at a friends house I went to another friend's house to look for a leak in her attic. I made sure some people knew where I was going in case she tried to keep me locked in the attic as her personal sex slave. (What? It could happen.) It was a beautiful day to be outside not locked in an attic.

This is what happens when I make peanut butter crackers for Grace. They end up on the ground outside. Somewhere Zeke, Vegas and Shadow are looking down on us and thinking, "What is he doing with that crazy white biotch???" They were all black dogs. Sept 13,2010
November 15, 2013 - Friday
Went to meet a friend for dinner and drinks. Cheesy fries for dinner. To make up for this we had a spinach salad after and no dessert. Great conversation that lasted for hours. Took this walking back to the car.

I was doing some laundry on the couch when I looked over and saw Grace sleeping so peacefully. I thought it would be the perfect time to take more pics of her. She woke up and doesn't she look happy to see me. I'm surprised she sat so still long enough for this.

Spent some time updating this site. I guess by the time you see this you'll be seeing how it looks. Not a radical change by any means, but a little more interesting.

Breakfast for dinner. Warm, fluffy pancakes. I made too many and shared them with Grace. She's so picky. She turned he nose away when I first tried to share some with her, but I guess she thought better of it the second time.

After walking Grace this morning and taking this pic, I went to spend the afternoon with my God Daughter and her family for her b-day dinner. It makes me so happy to see her growing into a wonderful young lady, beautiful inside and out.

After a day of cleaning and working around the house, I went to a Saturday night church service with a friend. Sometimes you hear what you need to hear. Dinner after was home made shrimp and cheesy grits. And although I'm not a big fan of seafood, this was delicious.

A friend gave me this panda head speaker a while back. I use it when I'm in the office alone. For being so small it has a really great sound. I don't know why I have so much panda stuff.

A few weeks ago I kinda had an idea in mind for dinner. It was a bit of an experiment but turned out so very good. It's creamy chicken, mushrooms and orzo with fresh sage and cracked black pepper. I decided to make it on purpose tonight. And guess what? It turned out so good again.

We did a shoot today and had a bunch of brownies left over. What I wouldn't give for some hot fudge or at least some Hershey's chocolate syrup to go with this. I guess it'll have to do.

Our account guy sits at the desk to my left. He seems a little jittery and on edge today. I'm not sure why.

In preparation for the cooler weather coming this week I made some soup. This is so simple and so good. Maybe even more importantly, it makes the house smell so good too.

Went to meet a friend for lunch on a patio. Grace got lots of love from lots of people. Then went to Ft. Worth again. They've completed the new plaza in Sundance Square. I knelt down to take a pic of these fountains and Grace walked into frame. Went to another friend's after. She got to play with their dogs.

Went to meet a friend for a late lunch. Chicken Poblano Enchiladas. Really good. We went to a local nature reserve to walk it off after. Then we went to be lazy and watch movies on the couch. That's one of the big reasons we're friends.

Drove out to Ft. Worth after work to meet a friend for dinner. I stopped by the liquor store to make sure we had something to drink. This was taken in the parking lot.
