March 31, 2013 - Sunday
I woke up a new man, rested and well. I went out to the country to visit my parents and to have dinner with the family. I went out to collect eggs with my mom later in the evening. I now know where Easter Eggs come from.
March 30, 2013 - Saturday
I'm glad I had a lot of fun yesterday, because I woke up early this morning with a fever and chills. I opened the windows in my living room and spent the day on my couch. The fresh air helped. I saw this guy in my back yard in between spells of being dead.

Went to help a friend do some work in her yard. She has a bunch of these growing on the side of her house. It was a great day to get out and have some fun too.
March 28, 2013 - Thursday
I came home after work and was doing some work in the front yard when this long lost soul stopped by to visit. I had to call Riley to come out and say hi too. I'm so glad I don't have an indoor cat anymore.
March 27, 2013 - Wednesday
There's a garden center around the corner from my place. They have all kinds of stuff growing behind their place. I drove by and saw this bright red thing glowing in the morning sun.
March 26, 2013 - Tuesday
There's one of these growing out in front of the office. My friend has one and there are several in my neighborhood. I think I want one too. Although I don't know if I can keep it alive. I need something that will grow on its own.

Christmas is nine months away. Get your shopping done early.

Went to a late lunch with Riley. In an attempt to get away from photographing food. I decided to take a picture of my plate after I was done. No really I didn't use this plate.

Seasoned some pork chops with Ziziki's seasoning a couple of days ago. I grilled them for RIley and I this evening. They were very good.

We went to the country to go have dinner with my family. My brother's herd has four relatively new babies. Sometimes it hard to believe that my brother and I grew up in the same house. I love visiting and hanging out, but I wouldn't want to live out there. At least not yet.

I went and bought a new toy for my garage. I'm sure I'll be posting some pictures of things I'll make with this. Hopefully no pictures from the ER. I may have just jinxed myself.

Took a day off to spend with Riley. We went to the Ft. Worth Zoo, but didn't quite make it. I have no idea what was going on but it looked like The Colonial. We decided to go to InSync Exotics and go see the big cats again. We had a good time and because it was almost like a roadtrip we stopped for Blizzards.

I know I just took a picture of these Saturday, but they just look so much better in the bright sunlight with a blue sky in the background. Plus it's a beautiful day to get out of the office.

Stopped by the grocery store on the way home and this guy was waiting patiently in the back of a pickup for his owner. I admire dogs like this. There is NO WAY I could do that with any of my dogs. They would be long gone by the time I came out of the store.

Went to dinner with a friend after work. On the way home I stopped to get some dog food. This is a bin near the register. When I was in high school I used to buy these and do contests to see who could hold more of them in their mouth without drooling all over themselves.

This is Shadow being lectured by RIley for chewing one of her shoes. He was the most destructive dog I've ever seen. He ate couches, doors, door jambs, flooring, walls and even shoes, but he hasn't done anything like this in years. He's back to sleeping in my room again.

In a little while these will all be gone and it will just be another tree with green leaves. When these trees, and I don't know what they are, fill with all the white flowers I know we're almost there. This to me is the first sign of Spring.

Went to meet some friends for lunch. It was good to see them and hang out for a bit. We ate next to The Cupcakery. I got my favorite chocolate frosting on chocolate cake. This one was very dry and not very good. I've had them before and they're usually really good. I was sad.

Riley ordered her boyfriend a present. A record player and Bob Marley's Greatest Hits. For some reason it didn't play right. Yep, she did in fact order him a record player and a CD. She's so pretty. Hahaha. At least she has good taste in music.

This was kinda late at night and I was lying on the couch. Zeke has started sleeping right at my feet when I'm there. He was dreaming and his paws were going and going. Most of the pics I took are blurry. I wonder if he dreams he's young again.

I was up a little late transferring photos from my camera to my computer and watching TV. One show ended and I saw that Life is Beautiful was on and turned to it in the middle of this scene. I picked up my camera and was able to catch this. I love this movie.

To help clear my head after last night, I went to meet some friends for brunch. $1 mimosas and migas at Gloria's evolved into more drinks and food at Kelley's. We were there so long I have a slight sunburn on my face. Made for a very relaxing day.

Went to meet a great friend from high school for dinner and drinks. We had a great time catching up, talking about old times and reminding each other of stuff the other didn't/couldn't remember. We had a couple of these just for old time's sake.

I read an article the other day about the oldest living holocaust survivor. She was 109. She said her secret to a happy life is to see the beauty around you. She said she saw the bad but chose to look for the good, everyday. This was taken at a gas station while filling up my car.
